About The Artist

I began drawing when I was ten years old. Over the years I have branched out to a variety of mediums such as pastel, watercolor and acrylic. Today I work primarily in acrylic, which allows me to capture our exquisite maritime scenery.
As an artist, my intention is to show the viewer the complexity of color that exists in nature. Nature’s way of projecting light is what inspires me to paint what the eye takes for granted.
Although I paint a variety of subjects, the ocean holds a particular interest and reverence to me, as it sets my mind to wonder what creatures live just out of sight. Nothing points to the stirrings of my unconscious more than what lies below the surface of the ocean.
I also consider my artwork to be expressions of my personal energy, desiring to bring harmony, warmth and mindfulness to an otherwise hectic world. Creating art fills me with a great sense of emotional freedom, which is ultimately the key to my inner rejuvenation.
